Walker

     I have a match with Ms Walker, as well as her sister, Ms Alexander.  We share DNA on the 6th chromosome. I share 40.44 centiMorgans with Ms Walker and only 10.05 centiMorgans with her sister.  We are 5th cousins, descending from Mrs Beadie (Unknown) Evans. Beadie's husband's name is unknown.

     This match is not a direct line Powell match. Beadie's Grandaughter was Leila Craft, the 2x Great-Grandaughter of Powell Shiflet and Catherine McMullen. Powell relatives who also descend from Leila Craft might share this segment of DNA.

     Being a generation closer, my dad and Ms Walker and Ms Alexander should share more DNA.  He shares 25 with Ms Walker and 36.55 with Ms Alexander.  He does share more with Ms Alexander, but less with Ms Walker.  It turns out that she is also related to me somewhere on my mom's side of the family.  By viewing just my father's DNA I can see what DNA I get just from the Evans family.
